Festival organisers Festival Republic have today announced that there will be extensive coverage of the Reading and Leeds festivals on BBC TV, Radio, red button and online.

Bands have today been given even more opportunities to play on the BBC Introducing Stage. Get your application in now!

Festival Republic, promoters of the Reading and Leeds Festival, are keen to alert all festival goers to an unofficial site on MySpace.

As announced on the official festival website: After a nine year partnership Festival Republic announced that Carling will no longer be the headline sponsor or official lager of the Reading and Leeds festivals. Following a successful long-term partnership, it was by mutual agreement that both parties felt the time was right to pursue new opportunities.
