For those that missed out, were at a different stage or just want to relive the whole experience again, you can catch Carling Weekend:Reading and Leeds Festival highlights on BBC2 this Saturday, 2nd September at 11.25pm until 1.25am. Jo Whiley and Zane Lowe present the best of the Festival including: Pearl Jam, Franz Ferdinand, Muse, Primal Scream, Arctic Monkeys, Kaiser Chiefs and Maximo Park.
Mike Davies presents live music highlights from the Lock Up Stage on Radio 1 next Tuesday 5 September between 9pm and 11pm.
The Carling Weekend: Reading and Leeds Festival came to a close on Sunday night with headline sets from Pearl Jam in Reading and Muse in Leeds. Mean Fiddler Managing Director, Melvin Benn said of this year’s festival:
“What a weekend! Two cities, Reading and Leeds, 214 different bands and performers, performing in each city to a massive 200,000 people. Great weather, great music and great fans. To say I am happy would not even scratch the surface. I am ecstatic as were the bands and the fans.”
