Organisers of the annual Leeds Festival have this week announced the bands that will be playing on the Festival Republic Stage at Leeds 2012.

THE VIEW (Friday), SLEIGH BELLS (Saturday), FEEDER & YOUNG GUNS (Sunday, joint headliners) and a very special closing DJ set from BASSNECTAR (Sunday) are the headliners this year.

They will join FUTUREHEADS (playing an acoustic set on Friday) and THE SUBWAYS (Saturday) alongside over thirty other acts who have secured a slot on this coveted stage with psychedelia courtesy of the likes of S.C.U.M. and TOY (both Friday), classic songwriters like BENJAMIN FRANCIS LEFTWICH (also Friday) and LUCY ROSE (Saturday) and rock sensibilities from LOWER THAN ATLANTIS and DON BROCO (both Sunday) amongst many more.
