Lock Up Stage line up announced for Leeds 2012

Social Distortion and Less Than Jake revealed as headliners.

In the first official announcement since the Leeds line up was revealed back in March, the organisers of the Leeds Festival have today confirmed the line up for the Lock Up Stage.

The Lock Up Stage takes place in Leeds throughout Friday and Saturday. On Sunday it becomes the Dance Stage.

In a statement today, Festival Republic announced that their headliners would come from the East and West coasts of the US and both are legendary acts with hugely impressive catalogues and fearsome live reputations.

Florida’s LESS THAN JAKE, one of the pioneers of the ska punk scene, headline at Leeds Festival on Friday, and it will be California’s SOCIAL DISTORTION who will bring hard rockabilly/punk to the festival on Saturday at Leeds 2012.

Joining them are acts from all over the world including ANTI-FLAG, ME FIRST AND THE GIMME GIMMES, GALLOWS, TURBONEGRO, BOUNCING SOULS, A WILHELM SCREAM and many others. Mike Davies, presenter of BBC Radio One’s Punk Show, said:

“Having an incredible Punk Rock line-up every summer has become a standard for the Lock Up Stage… and this year is no different. Old favourites, new heroes and even surprise guests… we have it all and it will be one hell of a festival.”
