Leeds Festival headliners leaked?
eFestivals have made a post on their site this evening with what they claim to be the 2010 headliners for the Leeds and Reading festivals.
One of our favourite festival websites – e-Festivals – has tonight posted the three bands that they believe will headline at Leeds Fest 2010.
eFestivals suggest the headliners will be Arcade Fire and Blink 182.
eFestivals have also gone for the third headliner being My Chemical Romance, but they seem to be a little less confident on MCR as they are for the other two. Given their doubt maybe we’ll see MCR as a main support (to Green Day maybe)?
Their article comes with the usual caveats and “it’s not 100% confirmed” type warnings, but they’re not usually far wrong. Even if they got 2 out of 3 correct, that would be good going.

The official Leeds line up announcement is expected later this month along with the availability of Leeds tickets.

Most of you people have shockingly bad taste in music! Greenday are one of the best bands ever, ther’re unlikley to be at Leeds & Reading as they said they are only doing 2 Gigs in England this year!

reading and leeds festivals nearly always have a large variety of bands which i think is one of the best things about it, u might not like all the bands playing but u dont have to go and see them all!
Blink 182 are going to be AMAZING live if they play because the vast majority of people miss them and whoever said that they werent big enough to headline, have u got mental issues or something because it seems to me that they were one of the biggest bands in the world when take off your pants and jacket and their self titled album came out :S
and sorry but i put my lifesavings on it that rage will not play, i would love to see them again, 2008 was fukcing unreal.
plus to all your greasy metal fans, go to download if u want to see “proper rock”
but if u enjoy a wide variety of music (including metal) go to reading or leeds because it is the bomb and the atmosphere is amazing..

Blink aren’t Emo ffs They are Punk or in other words Awesome, As for people saying for mainstream crap to join the line up, Go to T in the Park or Evo, NOT LEEDS or READING, Those complaining about Rock, You could find some at Download.

Hello i went last year and it was really bloody good was my first time at leeds fest and to be honest im glad i went leeds they had a good line up to suit all so to the people that are crying about the line up simple (DONT GO).
And to be fair i got the feeling that leeds was a very current festival!
To me there was only one huge let down and that was arctic monkey’s they was poor and im a fan.
Im going again this year had a really good time last year so cant see why not and no matter what the line up is theres always a handfull of band that you like and have never seen before so bring on LEEDS 2010 WOOP.
Love to see Kings of leon, Placebo, Ian brown, Kasabian, Blink, Rage, Subways, Vampire weekend, Mumford and sons , Mystery jets not a fucking dj set), Florence and the machine, Jack penate and loads more come one if half of these play will be an awsome time saw most of these last year KOL Placebo and jack penate and the prodgey was fucking awsome.

Greenday and Blink 182 are both in the top 10 largest bands of the last 20 years. Saying blink 182 are not big enough is like saying Nirvana weren’t big enough back in 1994.
Greenday and blink are on a par with rage,
bigger than muse, KOL, foos,
dwarf liberteens, killers and kasabian
and are perhaps second to metallica
Got to remember what happened last year. It was awful for “rock kids”. I hope they do shuffle it round a bit. There’s little difference between what was available last year if you didn’t like indy music.
I think people need to learn about music before they post on sites and allow t their arguments to be picked apart by music.

If you’re going to call Blink 182 emo, then you may as well call Kasabian country music. Or better still.. fucking shit. Most blink 182 fans would be insulted to be associated with my chemical romance. And most Kings of leon fans would likewise be insulted if we said they rimmed daphne and celeste. Having said that, there’s a high chance they probably have.
If you want to see mediocre bands of the moment, go to V festival. If you want to get pilled up and dance to tubthumping music go to creamfields. If you want to listen to gods of rock go to Leeds.
Leeds fest is like so totally my favourate time of the year. i love it more than my three little puppy dogs.

last years’ line up was pitiful summed up by the mass walkout during Radiohead’s set – i’ve never seen such a mass exodus during a gig.

all of you have it sooo wrong about leeds festival! ive been going to it since 1998 and it has steadily gotten worse and worse! the bands used to be proper rock bands and even metal acts but now its turned to this airy fairy indie shite and has seen a lot of repeats in head-liners! i dont like using the word commercial but its turned that way which sucks complete and utter balls!i will no longer be attending leeds festival.

I can’t wait til I slide across that muddy field at Leeds fest. In respect of the line-up I think all the wingers should wait until all is revealed, with Blink 182 and Guns and Roses all but revealed we await the rest of the acts. whatever the line -up it IS the Best Festival in Europe.

Arcade Fire are announced at Hove Festival in Norway, which is also run by Festival Republic, so chances that they will be appearing at Leeds/Reading are pretty big.
Im not happy about the line up this year however I have just got a V ticket to watch paul weller, kasabian, whitelies, stereophonics, the temper trap and the prodigy. Now thats a line up! However im still gonna buy a leeds ticket cause it has the best atmosphere of all festivals.

It’s a rock festival to start with, also, the tickets sell out every year without fail whether people know the line-up or not, oh and lastly, it’s Kasabian, not ‘kasbien’.
I’ll probably be going anyway for the atmosphere, When you look past the headliners there’s always at least 8 or so bands that you really wanna see…..
Altho tbh, i can’t really talk as I’m probably going Oxegen if MCR and Arcade Fire headline…

Firstly i cant afford to go to leeds as well as going to download but i would like to point out that Leeds and Reading festival is a ROCK festival not an indie festival not a pop festival a ROCK festival i remember two years ago it had metallica rage against the machine and the killers with only the killers really being classed as indie. Also Green day are not emo and are massive same for Blink 182 both about as emo as a glass of water.
Those who want kings of leon and radiohead where were you last year? Ain’t gonna happen same with the artic monkeys not happening. To be honest if you don’t like it don’t go go to creamfields or something or V festival where they have the atmosphere of a cat stuck in a greenhouse.

if arcade fire headline they best put someone decent on the second stage. Theyre no where near big enough to headline. Linkin Park, Blink 182 and Greenday would be far better. I will really be suprised if those three do not headline. Greenday and Blink are practically certainties anyway and LP have a new album out and arent playing download or sonisphere so are bound to play sumwhere with Leeds being the likely destination

First of all KOL headlined last year so festival republic would be crap organisers if the scheduled the same band 2 years in a row, and to be honest, anything can be an improvement on last years excuse of a festival.
Greenday and Blink 182 are MASSIVE worldwide and well done (if the rumors are true) for securing one, if not both of these bands, for this years Leeds.
For far too long this festival has been going down the dreaded indie road, lets get back to basics and see bands that have stood the test of time, not trendy one hit wonders!

I would love that list of headliners and MCR are my all time fave band but im doubting whether they will headline when they have just lost their drummer (bob bryar)??? but they supposed to be recording still so i guess they must have replaced him?!
Greenday n blink would be ok but not both headlining mayve both on the same day but MCR as a headliner would be shocking! Ill be really dissapointed if the line up ends up being something like this when all the other festivals seem to have bagged some massive headliners like muse, ac/dc, kasabian, KOL etc.

A Good Lineup, Green Day are always good live, saw em in 2004 so not sure if the setlist will be tooooo different, Blink will be great and MCR are a guilty pleasure of mine.
To anyone else posting, know that it’s in a band’s contract to play one of either V-Festival OR Leeds/Reading, so for anyone wanting pop bands like Kings of Leon or The Kooks, swing and a miss.

Waited along time for blink and green day to be on the same festival bill. This would be awesome and hope it comes true. There might be some decent bands this year to keep in genre of the headline acts. Last year for me was a joke line up I love the leeds festivals of old. The last one at temple was my favourite
Blink are one of the biggest, if not THE biggest band in pop punk..
their music is still loved by all despite having split years down the line, and thousands of people never got the chance to see them.
