When do Leeds tickets go on sale?

We’ve been asked when tickets for Leeds 2010 will be available to buy. Here’s our advice.

When can I buy tickets for Leeds 2010?” is a question we are asked quite frequently.

History tells us that organisers Festival Republic (and Mean Fiddler before that) have been fairly consistent over the last ten years – they tend to pick the end of March / early April for the main ticket release.

I would answer therefore that Leeds tickets are very likely to go on sale in March 2010 (and it will probably be the 29th March).

There was a small batch of pre-sale Leeds 2010 tickets that went on sale on Tuesday 1st September at 9am. These advance tickets were pegged back to 2009 prices, but were removed from sale on 4th October 2009.

So at the time of writing you cannot buy tickets for Leeds.

Keep checking our Leeds Tickets page for the latest ticket updates or subscribe to our Leeds Festival Newsletter to be kept informed.

If anything at all changes, we’ll let you know.

I’ve done a post regarding the date for the line up announcement, which I think will be on the 29th March 2010.

Yeah, and for those with their eye on forums (ours in particular – Leeds Music Forum) will find tickets for sale in the week running up to the event and on the day itself. Crash Records in Leeds had returned Day and Weekend tickets available on a daily basis in the final week in 2009 – they were all advertised through our forum. In addition, we used our sister site’s Twitter feed Leeds Music Scene Twitter to tell people about tickets that were coming on sale at the official shops.

Remember the good old days when you could buy them on the day at the on-site box office?!

Hi Dom – that’s never happened before. Although anything is possible, I guess.

Do any tickets come on sale over January?
I have been told a small number of tickets come on sale over a few weeks is this true?

“How quick do the tickets usually sell out?”

The ticket sites are usually very ‘busy’ for a good few hours. We’ll do a proper page closer to the time, but you’re always advised to take a note of all the official web links in advance and have windows to them all open.

Ticketmaster servers usually do very well and cope fine.

See Tickets usually wilt under the volume very quickly.

Despite what any official announcement may have otherwise told you, Leeds weekend tickets have never once all sold out on the opening night and have always taken at least 2 or 3 days to clear. That said if you want to guarantee yourself a Leeds ticket you need to be securing it between 7 and 10pm, I’d say.

    Weekend Camping to be precise

Hi Robbie, yeah, that’s correct. It is usually around that time and always coincides with the official launch. For almost 10 years, since I can remember, it has fallen in the same 2-week window.

tickets came on sale last year 30th march at 7 oclock pm so i presumme it will be around the saame time it tells you on the official website when its released though .
