Futuresound 2009 winners revealed – who plays at Leeds?
The six winners from Futuresound 2009 have been announced.
Futuresound 2009 is a competition for West Yorkshire bands with six bands ultimately winning their way through to appear at the Leeds and Reading Festivals.
Over 300 bands applied and 30 went through to heats during the summer. The winning six were revealed today via the UK’s largest regional music forum.
The overall winner of Futuresound 2009 is Middleman, who will open the Festival Republic Stage.
The other five winners are Kinch, The Old Romantic Killer Band, Milk White White Teeth, Wonderswan and Chickenhawk. These bands will appear live on the BBC Introducing Stage.
Although tickets are now sold out, you can still buy one via the festival’s official secondary market partner site Viagogo.
