Personaly i think the kings of Leon are a great band but i dont think they will head line.
I think someone like Foo Fighters, My chemical romance or someone different.
year after year there is Metallica or Iron maiden. I think this is now coming predictable. Download have a great line up this year.

people need to listen to their real stuff, and not just sex on fire. seeing them there would be immense. although i would love the killers to be there again.

Kol will be bloody brilliant every album has it’s own unique charm.
We are scientists would be pretty class to but probs won’t happen as they’re not that popular.

lol. kings of leon arent exactly one of the best bands ever. they are good yes.
plenty people say that they arent good enough to headline. but what ive seen on here, something about 14 monster tracks which im sorry to say to the majority. yes this is true. they are mint tracks.
so to those whom say they arent big enough, go to the shop (or morpheous/aries) download the albums.

metallica HAVE been voted the best live act. which i have to agree as they were at leeds last year.

so for those who say bring more metal bands, go to download. as they seem to get the oldie bands. which :\ arent too fun tbh.
leeds is much better for the younger generation to enjoy the more recent bands aswell as the rockin on ones

Well, not really John, seeing as they did headline Glastonbury last year….
Well, i mean they are a good band, but im not sure whether KOL are really big enough, or good enough to headline a festival, i mean you need bands that have a massive back catalogue, and amazing stage shows like, Metallica, Iron Maiden, Red Hot Chili Peppers, Foo Fighters, Green Day, Blink 182 (who have been set to make a come back after the band reuniting), the Strokes, RATM, i mean yer KOL are good live but im not sure if a headlining position at a major festival is their thing…i mean is anyone suggesting they can match a live performance like that of Iron Maiden at download last year?or Metallica at the Carling festivals?i doubt it and thats whats needed for a frestival headlining act…
KOL are arguably fourth behind the Foos, Muse and Green Day as far as the title of best live band goes.
As for comments above saying they don’t have enough, “big songs”?!?!?! They have 4 albums which each in their own right are exceptional. To transform from their grass roots into the fully polished band they are today in four captivating albums is awesome!

i would love to see KOL, the Srokes and the arctics but its unlikely as that line up may seem too ‘indie’….they usually have a heavier act playing…

Personally I don’t think Kings of Leon are worthy headliners of a festival like Leeds but I know they most likely will be headlining Leeds. I think the headliners next year will be Green Day, Kings of Leon and AC/DC. I’d be happy with that, but I’d rather see another band instead of Kings of Leon.
