    Aye I was there the year of the last of riots at Leeds in 2005 and me and my two friends did manage to get a crate of carling between us.

    this year will be my third time at leeds, though im not sure anything can beat 2005 for me…the bands were amazing, i made a LOT of random friends via free hugs, and the riots were intense….the tribal drumming and fires made it amazing, haha

    anyone remember a couple of years ago when the articulated lorry full of ice cold beer was broken into and thoroughly robbed n the cider tent got burnt down? to the tune of tribal drums and in the light of a massive bonny. happy days indeed, everyone was grinning like chimps the next morning with their free ale.

    Last year (2006) was my first real festival, so sadly I don’t get to share in any of the older memories, apart from listening to the festival on the radio every year for the last few, and wishing I was old enough to go!! *Green Day were awesome..* Some of my favourite memories of last year:

    :: Panic! At The Disco were amazing, I jumped up and down so much, I passed out right after! ::

    :: Fall Out Boy splitting the crowd in two and getting us to have a bottle fight during Sugar We’re Goin Down, the best bit was them blaming the idiot who bottled Panic! at Reading lol! ::

    :: Singing along and dancing like complete twats to the Arctic Monkeys on Sun night! ::

    :: MUSE! Even though it was raining and I was soaked and FREEZING cold, it was such an amazing moment. I still cry everytime I hear Starlight, it just takes me right back to that moment! ::

    And about the people…

    :: I tripped over a guy rope and fell into this camp of Weegies, and they made me try Bucky’s ahahaha! It wasn’t too bad actually! ::

    :: Some people I know taped a cross made out of poles to this dude’s back and paraded him about with a megaphone! Anyone see us? Hehe! ::

    :: I kissed a cute boy when Placebo were on ^_^ ::

    :: I tried to buy a hoodie but my card was declined, so the guy felt sorry for me and sold me it for 2 beers and a hug!! ::

    :: I saw people sliding down the hill on lilos and things on Sunday night that was pretty entertaining, and also a bunch of about 20 people with a drum crammed under a gazebo carrying it along trying to stay dry, chanting “Gazebo” to footy tunes which was pretty funny!” ::

    :: Walking for about an hour through all the campsites from yellow bubble to brown parking at about 4am to my mate’s car and then spending another half an hour looking for it, just for the craic.. ::

    :: I tried my 1st ever beefburger lol! (It was minging though!) ::

    I didn’t get tickets this year :( but I will, somehow! I’m totally determined! I hope it’s as good this year, I’m sure it will be hehe! XD x

    The first memory for me was At The Drive-In in 2000 at Temple Newsam. There was a buzz backstage but I really didn’t know of the band. I was in a small group of people chatting, and I later discovered it had been the band I was talking to. All I was thinking was … big hair. Then I wandered over to the smaller tent and they came on and they were AWESOME. Really inspiring performance. Really made my festival.
