Not loads of metal bands, if i wana go eat babies and mosh loads ill go to china.
Lots of Bands like last year. Loads of New rave 2, CCS are legends. Wolfmother! If Muse could paly every year them too but prob wont. No fuckin Razorlight, worst band in the world, subways are dreadful live 2. +44 were ace and Bloc Party have to headline.
12 February 2007 | 15:39
you can include Kaisers again…this time touring their new album….i’ll bet any money their there again, probably headlining, Pigeon detectives….been a Leeds band they’ll be on the roster somewhere…..they’ve got to get Green Day headlining Sunday at leeds….like muse did in 06…..everyone else is mentioning the same bands as last year!…..most of them will be away working on a second album…all those with new albums…Bloc Party, Jamie T, Kaisers, Arctics, The View, Killers are sure to be playing….wouldn’t mind some old skool stuff…Faithless maybe? massive attack would be nice….but for me Green Day have to headline….i think headliners will be Green Day, AC/DC and The Killers, AC/DC on Friday, The Killers on Saturday and Green Day on Sunday….with MCR, Arctic’s and Bloc Party been second headliners….i bet im not far off
12 February 2007 | 15:40
maybe not The Killers, maybe Kaisers will be headlining Saturday….one of the 2…

F*ck me if everyone likes metal and all that cock rock bollocks, then fuck off to download. musicisrubbish has compiled a decent list. Razorlight are certainly shite though.
13 February 2007 | 23:29
PS. Klaxons headlining NME stage. Entershikari for Carling. Babyshambles headlining main stage with Bloc Party and then some random metal band or something for the friday because i usually stay away from the main stage most of the time anyway.

15 February 2007 | 19:12
So long as rage and dillinger escape plan are there i don’t care who plays and when. hell - bring back daphne and celeste i couldn’t care less. it’d give us someone to bottle - or may be throttle.
seriously if dillinger are on that bill, i’ll crap myself
and rage, probably would twice over
15 February 2007 | 19:33
Golly gosh Justin Timberlake?!?! He’l be headlining oh dear…. BUUUT chilis, bloc party, monkeys and all other indie
15 February 2007 | 21:34
Why does everyone keep wanting MCR to play? Unless you wanna swamp out the entire festival with emo kids its a bad idea. There were loads at download last year, when funeral for a friend played (One of my all time faves, not cus I’m because I’m an emo kid, but because I started listening to ffaf before its spawned forth the masses of emo) it was the funniest thing because they played stuff mostly from hours but did play This years most open heartbreak and the emo kids didnt know it! LMFAO
Anyways I sidetracked RATM would be cool FFAF (for me would be cool but i’d doubt they’d ever be there) BSF (they may have broken up though i cant remember) hell i’ll just say it, ALEXISONFIRE pleeeeeease… lol
15 February 2007 | 23:23
any1 considered the police to play? they sed they wer gunna be in england in the autum??
the killers wer imense in 05, love them back, razorlight, the chillis??
this years fest shud be awsome 2 be fair, the music out since last year has been pretty good!
16 February 2007 | 10:09
One of the best lineups ever.
Although, I feel sorry for Razorlight, having to headline with the Chilis. They barely even come close.
And I hope FFAF play too :]
Bring on Enter Shikari and Alexisonfire!
16 February 2007 | 22:01
well, my dream-list would be..
*smashing pumpkins, marilyn manson, green day, my chemical romance, placebo, muse, HIM, IAMX, Aiden, AFI, babyshambles, panic at the disco, red hot chilli peppers, artic monkeys and some more… *
and i hope that at least half of them will be there
17 February 2007 | 1:33
+44 and pogues would be mint…also reel big fish and nofx, reuben, bronx, mxpx, new found glory, less than jake, flogging molly, little man tate….i can go on all day
….wat???, a girl can dream
17 February 2007 | 11:10
according to wikipedia NME confirmed razorlight, RHCP and smashing pumpkins as headliners and “punktastic” confirms Kasabian, Interpol, Fall Out Boy, Ian Brown, Bloc Party, The View, The Gossip, Alterkicks, Ian Brown, LostProphets, trivium, funeral for a friend, good shoes, Velvet Revolver, Wolfmother, Manic Street Preachers, The Fratellis, Jarvis and Klaxons. They all seem quite likely so…
17 February 2007 | 15:31
I reckon it’ll be:
Friday
Main stage
Rage Against the Machine
Red Hot Chili Peppers
Lostprophets
NME Stage
Klaxons
CSS
Saturday
Main Stage
Oasis
Bloc Party
NME Stage
The Good the Bad and The Queen
The View
Sunday
Main Stage
Smashing Pumpkins
Razorlight (hope not)
Biffy Clyro
NME Stage
Arcade Fire
Larrikin Love
The headliners are strong rumours so i reckon im pretty close and the NME stage is determined by who NME are bumming the most at the present time
18 February 2007 | 16:52
WE WANT BLACK REBEL MOTORCYCLE CLUB BACK
18 February 2007 | 16:53
for me i would want rage against the machine metallica and oasis as the headline bands, that would be the shit
18 February 2007 | 22:30
I heard that Aerosmith were coming this year. Bloody hope so anyway!
19 February 2007 | 18:24

19 February 2007 | 22:54
not so much a rumour but rage against the machine having announced a reunion gig in the us HAVE TO play at leeds it will just be the best thing ever especialy for those of us who wer a bit young the first time they were around
ps this probably wont happen i just pray it will….
20 February 2007 | 3:19
Biffffy Clyrooo!! [Simon Neil is a GOD!]
20 February 2007 | 17:35
“Lewis
18 February 2007 | 16:53
for me i would want rage against the machine metallica and oasis as the headline bands, that would be the shit”
That’d do me nicely too. Can’t see it happening though, to be honest. Rage have apparently denied the rumours, but I don’t know that for certain. I have heard that a little-known ska-punk band called branded a fool may be headlining, though.
21 February 2007 | 11:16
80% of the stuff people are rabbiting on about sound like they are on the wrong site and are on about lineups from bloody download….. i seriously hope there arn’t as many metal bands as people say there’s gona be. We need variety people!!!! One or two metal bands maybe, but not every single bloody one. Enter Shikari - yes please
Interpol - heck yessss. Lets just wait and see eh?!
Tis good not know and having your ticket booked
but please no Panic at the Disco!!!! I might have to take my sledgehammer if they play
21 February 2007 | 14:24
The Pogues would be unbelievable but I mainly hope The Wildhearts get asked to play.
21 February 2007 | 23:18
Would love to have Kings of Leon back
22 February 2007 | 1:06
My friend’s girlfriend’s dad’s mate’s wife’s hairdresser has inside information that Jimi Hendrix will play. For certain…
^
People don’t seem to know the difference between rumours and totally random guesses
And that rumour is probably about as viable as most of the other ones that have been mentioned
I would love to see RAtM go though. Although ‘insider information’ according to some bullcrap source I read seems to suggest that they’re only doing Coachella to “test the waters” and see if they can cope with each other’s personality flaws. Which means even if they do decide to stay together after that, it’ll probably be too late to get themselves booked into any more festivals this year. Sorry to spoil it for anyone
Hopefully next year though.
I do have one pretty plausible rumour though: The NME stage will be awful.
Sorry I didn’t have any real rumours, all this post is for is crushing everyone’s dreams…
22 February 2007 | 14:52
has anyone else heard that INTERPOL are playing??
theyve just been announced for t-in the park so at least theyre out of hiding
theyre the only band on ym fave bands of all time ever that i havnt seen live and it would make my life if they were there!!!
and i dont want to go T coz theyre line up is beyond predictable!
please somebody say theyve heard about interpol too!!!
22 February 2007 | 23:05
GUN & ROSES ppl, dnt think it wud hapen but hey i can dream, maybe bit of velvet revolver or fratellis ther ace seen them last year at beached & lost prophets want them ther & my chem romance
23 February 2007 | 14:46
This is an Official announcement of the bill, i spoke to a rep at Mean Fiddler and he strongly suggested the line-ups will include teh following bands:
Rage Against the Machine,
Red Hot Chilli Peppers,
Smashing Pumpkins,
Oasis,
The Killers,
Jimmy Eat World,
Razorlight,
The Kooks,
The View,
Rise Against,
Bloc Party,
Fall Out Boy,
+44,
Taking Back Sunday,
Drive Like I Do,
Biffy Clyro,
The Fratellis.
plus more acts. I gather this is the main stage line-up, with Oasis, the Pumpkins and RATM headlining. Chilis will play behind them.
23 February 2007 | 15:49
My chemical romance, the killers, snow patrol are all headlinng at T in the Park.. im i am sure that they will play leeds too.
i REALLLLY hope MCR play…. i think i would be in heaven !!!!!
glastonbury announced this year that they can not afford bands like Oasis, and Coldplay… so i really dont think Leeds will be able to afford them. wouldnt get your hopes up on seeing Oasis.
I seen RHCP at T In The Park last year, and they were no where near as good as i expected them to be.
23 February 2007 | 19:38
I’d like to see;
+44
Block Party
Fallout Boy
My Chemical Romance
Green Day
Yellowcard
The Killers

Its definatly gonna be a new rave/ indie/new hardcore year +the chilli’s
But if alkaline trio played i think i might die and be in heaven :]
But deffo Klaxons! And heard FOB will be playing again :] Also how good will this be RADIOHEAD!
24 February 2007 | 13:09
Oh and The Holloways are playing cause i was talking to the drummer Dave on the train the other week…i think a few people could be happy about that. I think he mentioned the kaiser cheifs aswell…mums will be happy haha.
24 February 2007 | 22:07
I have heard from a big man in the leeds festival organisation that the following bands are 95% certain to play, he told me the headliners for each day and the biggest bands after them:
Friday
headliners: Kooks, Artic Monkeys
next big band: Muse
Saturday
headliners: Oasis, Razorlight
next big band: Killers
Sunday
Headliners: Snow Patrol, Muse
next big band:Fratellis
He told me that he 75% certain that Smashing Pumpkins, Bloc Party, Lost Prophets are playin and he even said that Aerosmith and Coldplay might play. Magic Number and Hard Fi are also tipped to play. Hope this helps, Its all pretty concrete material!!!
25 February 2007 | 0:46
Think Capdown deserve a place on the main stage this year!! They’d headline if it was up to me! They’ve been around years, they always entertain and quite frankly, their music’s the shit!!
But rumours I’ve heard for headliners are Bloc Party and I can’t remember the other two, some more indie stuff I guess! leeds festival just isn’t what it used to be! too much indie, too commercial, too many better bands out there who deserve a better chance!!
Ideally, I’d have; CAPDOWN, LostProphets, The Used, RADIOHEAD, Oasis, Alk3, Smashing Pumpkins, REM, Dashboard, Taking Back Sunday, Jimmy Eat World, Dropkick Murphy’s, Thrice, Reel Big Fish, The Donnas, Goldfinger, Billy Talent, Coheed & Cambria, Alanis Morissette! I think we get the point, lol!
25 February 2007 | 12:28
I meant the Red Hot Chilli Peppers instead of Muse on the Sunday!!!
25 February 2007 | 13:45
Rage have reformed and playin in the US, why did audioslave cancel last year?? someone owes us a visit
25 February 2007 | 18:22
Ac/dc, smashing pumpkins, and rage against the machine are headliners apprently going off sum american website, bloc party are a definite as they said in nme, and snow patrol said they will be doing all the festival bar the metal ones, kaisers are a cert as they’re local lads and the new album is out and audioslave well they better be they’re cos if it werent 4 pearl jam being there last year id wudnt have gone so get ur finger out cornell and co.
25 February 2007 | 22:02
wel i reakon incubus will play caus there on tour around then n there new album has come out… i doubt panic! at the disco will play after gettin bottled last year! i hope they do thou there ace… i reakon fall out boy will play and defo red hot chilli peppers! im guessing will be a good lineup this year.

Right ok - everyone stop complaining about metal playing at Leeds its only recently changed into some boring shitty indie fest. No one remember Marilyn Manson playing back at Tempsey??
I want diversity!!!
I like metal, hardcore, punk, ska & emo & i miss the days when its wasnt so many genres but when we were all classed as alternative! bloody snobs!!!

I think that smashing pumpkins, bloc party, red hot chillis and razorlight are pretty much definites.if u look at the bands sites there are gaps on the leeds/reading dates.the view are also stronglr rumoured along with the kooks who will be on main stage-thank god i nearly got crushed in radio 1 tent last year.gossip and oasis are mentioned on alot of the sites.i know iron maiden are def playin 1 of the festivals as they wer droppin heavy hints on there tour about partying in a muddy field in the summer.also, lineup for v has been announced so u can make an intelligent assumption about whoelse will be doin the festivals!
28 February 2007 | 15:40
I think I’d make an attempt to go if you get some hip hop acts there. I sick of metal and indie, where’s the HIP HOP!!!!!
28 February 2007 | 16:28

Funeral for a friend!!! They didnt play last year, annnnd they have new album out this year!
C’mon, theyve got to!
Ill cry if they dont…..
28 February 2007 | 21:03
A couple of months back Danny Carey from Tool was interviewed for the Radio 1 Rock Show and mentioned they were “…gonna head over there (UK) in the summer again and probably play Reading…”
That pretty much sounds like self-confirmed?
Billy And The Pumpkins or whatever he’s calling them would be interesting as would System Of A Down and Deftones (been awhile since either band played).
28 February 2007 | 21:37
i think that smashing pumpkins are going to headline a night, and think that there is a slight possibility that rage against the machine may headline after they have extended their tour in the us.
obvious bands which will end up playing include the likes of the kooks, the view, nofx, enter shikari, kings of leon!!!
28 February 2007 | 22:15
i agree with Jaaaambiii as deftones would be amazing… also im missing this tour… chilis would be nice… enter shikari… BIFFY CLYRO… tool at leeds (please god!!) and then rage against the machine should relive the legendary ‘93 slot (or was it ‘94?) whatever it would be mint all the same…
oh yeah and a little band called circa survive should play… they have a new album and they share management with mcr so why shouldnt they be able to get out here?
28 February 2007 | 23:31
i’ve heard a lot of pumkins rumours too but anything else for me is just speculation, that being said, wouldn’ Regina Spektor, the shins. camera obscura, james, belle and sebastian, babyshambles, the concretes, damien rice, dresden dolls neutral milk hotel, rilo kiley and the white stripes be brilliant (just a dream though) oh, and a few good new comedians would be really nice (mark watson, josie lauwrence, russel howard etc)
1 March 2007 | 13:19
Okay, i’ve confirmed with all the bands and this is the first day at Leeds Main Stage:
RATM
Tool
SOAD
Mastodon
Deftones
Mars Volta
Funeral For A Friend
No need for any more rumours. I’ll let everyone know the other two days main stage line up when i confirm with the bands.
1 March 2007 | 13:20
oh yeah Oasis have been banned ‘cos i don’t like them.
1 March 2007 | 14:45
Forgot to add Gojira to the first day main stage.
1 March 2007 | 16:56

6 March 2007 | 16:09
Klaxons all the way!
Really hope the bloc party and kings of leon play
RHCP would be awesome Headliners

they are fuckin amazing live
6 March 2007 | 17:10

6 March 2007 | 17:32
Get Profane playing. Amazing Manc metal band!!!
6 March 2007 | 17:48
Anyone got any ideas about the Dance Tent?
If Daft Punk played, I would probably pay double for my ticket haha.
Alternatively, Royksopp, Soulwax, Goose, Pendulum, Justice would all be AMAZING.
Can’t wait for this year!!
6 March 2007 | 20:40
I would most like to see HIM first and foremost!! As they’re releasing an album sometime around that time…..
I would love for Avenged Sevenfold to play as they played Download last year.
Ummm….. I think Evanescence, Within Temptation or Lacuna Coil would be awesome!!!
Fall out boy will probably end up playing Leeds again this year, as will Panic! at the disco. Maybe.
Anyway, whatever happens I hope the line up is good!!!
6 March 2007 | 21:20
although i would love ian brown to play what has he done recently? greatest hits cant be the only logical answer? the same with oasis! i would love them to play but i havnt heard them even thinking of creating a new album under big brother yet so where are these rumours coming from?? the view ABSOLOUTELY HAVE TO!!!!! they seem to be on of the biggest bands to come out of the new band mist along with the gossip. wouldnt mind smashing pumpkins playin their pretty fookin amazing! any definates yet? my hopes are for bloc party, view, kasabian, klaxons, radiohead, wolfmother and babyshambles. im crossing my fingers that dirty pretty things will be able to release an album before the summer, cos they were shit-hot at leeds last year!
6 March 2007 | 22:01
kasabian wont play cos there playing v…same goes for babyshambles
6 March 2007 | 22:09

Coldpay
Wolfmother
6 March 2007 | 22:13
I want to see the all american rejects play. they are amazing … and jimmy eat world of course!
6 March 2007 | 23:18
hardly anyone’s mentioned the white stripes; they’ve got a new album out soon and they haven’t headlined for like three years
7 March 2007 | 9:24
KAISER CHIEFS KAISER CHIEFS KAISER CHIEFS KAISER CHIEFS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! our home band, the best band we could ask for!!!! GET EM THERE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!XXX
7 March 2007 | 9:46
i hope rage against the machine play grrr:@
7 March 2007 | 9:48
i think that sonic youth are playing in london a week before the carling weekend so they should play at leeds as well
oh and when the line up is announced on the 26th of march i hope that the line up is what NME say it is. (apparently NME hasn’t been wrong three times in a row) hoping that smashing pumpkins red hot chillys are play tho i hate razorlight!
7 March 2007 | 9:50
RHCP, THE SMASHING PUMPKINS, THE KILLERS
WILL HEADLINE.
HOPEFULLY loads of good bands on lock up like norma jean, thrice, coheed
7 March 2007 | 11:07

7 March 2007 | 12:26

7 March 2007 | 15:47
Ive heard a few places now that oasis are rumoured to headline. I hope so. And shutup, razorlight shit all over red hot chili peppers
7 March 2007 | 16:03
i bought the daily star paper today
and in joe motts music section he said i can exclusivley reveal the headliners for leeds/reading festival are
RAZORLIGHT
SMASHING PUMPKINS
RED HOT CHILLI PEPPERS
IM NOT A HAPPY CHAPPIE!
7 March 2007 | 16:04
The Beatles, Nirvana, The Sex Pistols, The Clash, James Brown, Elvis & The Stone Roses
7 March 2007 | 16:24
MON THE BIFFY!!!!!!!!!!!!! :DDDDDDD met them yesterday lol
7 March 2007 | 18:49
“i bought the daily star paper today

RAZORLIGHT
SMASHING PUMPKINS
RED HOT CHILLI PEPPERS

That makes two us…IF these are the headliners i’m guessing it will be The Billy Corgan Ego Wank on Friday / Razorlight Saturday / Junkies on Sunday night.
Was hoping for Tool to headline friday night but guess i’ll have to do with one guys solo project re branded as The Smashing PumpkinsTM
7 March 2007 | 20:21
WE WANT THE AQUABATS!!!!!! + the cure + the slackers + PAVEMENT *cries*
7 March 2007 | 20:45
and WEEN! How could I forget Ween.. and Jeffrey Lewis and the Distillers and Reel Big Fish and Tenacious D and the Phenomenauts and the AQUABATS again
+ get some ska on there? Ska would be massively appreciated. Fun-fun-funn.
and the Aquabats.
None of the above are actual rumours.. not yet. I may start some and spread them so much that the above actually begin to believe that they are playing Leeds.
7 March 2007 | 21:34
I’m realllly hoping for The Used….. but they don’t seem to be in any circle of rumours, but Lostprophets are and I would LOVE to see them play so I’m hopeful for that. I’d like to see the Chilis too and they’re really strongly rumoured to headline. Hopefully it’ll be a good enough line-up to make up for me missing it last year. I got pre-sale tickets that day after the festival last year for this year, so I’m definately going.

please dont have so much indie:/ it bores me loads. we want metal! or anything that isnt indie tbh. Aiden maybe? trivium? bfmv? please:)
razorlight bore me to death etc. enter shikari? yes? maybe? OK
thanks^^
8 March 2007 | 10:58
will people please shut up about RATM! yes i would love them to play (audioslave would be better but now they HAVE split up) but it’s not going to happen. their manager has confirmed that they’re playing just four dates in 2007, ALL in america. so please shut up. it gets people hopes up. and as for muse, get a life! why would the organises put the same band (great or not) headlining two years in a row. PLUS, headliners look set to be
friday- smashing pumpkins
saturday- razorlight (however there may be a band above them eg killers)
sunday- RHCP
personally i think thats awful, chilis being only one truly deserving of slot but i’m sure we’ll get over it. After all, franz friggin’ ferdinand headlined last year.
btw, oasis won’t play mean fiddler cannot afford them, realism now, they can’t afford most of the really big bands. AC/DC would be great but they were dead certs for download and never ended up playing. My Chem will probs ply they are EVERYWHERE and aerosmith won’t ’cause their only UK date is Hyde Park Calling, which could end up being amazing if other headliner is good. bloc party and klaxons will play. we are scientists probs won’t as they need to record new album, funeral will play, and will lostprophets on the friday. trivium probs will too, making it the worst leeds metal day ever
PS
[email protected] if you think its any different tell me but i think i’m 90% correct.
8 March 2007 | 16:28

9 March 2007 | 9:45
According to a very reliable source i know said the headliners will be Razorshite, Smashing pumpkins, RHCP. He knew what the headliners were last year about a month before the festival he helps set up the festival.
9 March 2007 | 14:10
If you want metal bands, go to download. Last years lineup was incredible, more like that please!!
9 March 2007 | 14:13
Yeah i think Billy Corgan / Razorwank / Red hot smack heads is pretty much confirmed now.
Our hope lies in the other bands rumoured - Tool, Bloc Party, Interpol, FFAF, Deftones, …Trail Of Dead, Arcade Fire (??) , Interpol, Trivium, Gojira (?)
9 March 2007 | 22:54
‘Dan the man’ you would have trouble with Babyshambles & The Libertines playing, since The Libertines no longer excist, and BabyShambles is Pete Doherty’s new band you daft prat! lolz ^_^

10 March 2007 | 18:53
kings of leon and bloc party havce both confirmed on their own websites!!
10 March 2007 | 21:27
why are you wasting your time rumouring bands like metallica, motley crue, velvet revolver, muse, my chem, arctic monkeys etc. headliners always follow a pattern. one heavy, one popular, one indie. at least one of them is always a legendary (see 2005 when 3 legends did it). Also any band that played in the top 3 last year, will NOT return. Promise. And at the end of the day, dont think about what would be awesome for you, think about what will get the festival sold out quicker than any other. The festival aims to make money. they will not do that with headliners like the ones people have suggested. frankly, the rumours of chilis, razorlight and pumpkins seem pretty logical (even if they will be kinda dull).
11 March 2007 | 12:28
why does every1 hate indie so much
if u want all of this metal then go somewhere else
cant wait to get my glowsticks out for the klaxons!
also why does everyone like RATM so much, i really dont like em
p.s Arcade Fires new Album is awesome so itd be great to see them there
11 March 2007 | 13:56
get a bit of pop-punk in there!
last year new found glory said they’d be coming back twice this year, one’s GIAN and the other?? LEEDS PLEASE!
+44 are right legends.
Less Than Jake, yes please.
Angels & Airwaves, so i can shout at Tom for leaving Blink, bastard.
Be Your Own Pet!
Anti-Flag!
Indie is wank, it all sounds the same. Although i’d rather listen to that than metal…
11 March 2007 | 21:52
branz you cant wait to get your glow stick out for the klaxons?
listen ye, leeds fest was metal in the first place and it should returnt to that!
RATM!
BFMV!
ALEXISONFIRE!
SOAD!
yes please
indie absolute shit!
and all u wantin MCR, they r at download, check that line up and ull know who not to expect!
x
11 March 2007 | 21:54

11 March 2007 | 21:56
@ metalboy - Leeds has never been a metal festival !
12 March 2007 | 0:08

hadouken, css, erol alkan and crystal castles would be a bonus
12 March 2007 | 16:44
@ DAVELMS

“Musically, the festival has seen a return to its heavy metal roots”

… doesn’t make any of them right ! LEEDS has never been a metal festival.
Reading used to be a rock(ier) festival, but Reading & Leeds as a dual-site festival is relatively new concept (last 8 years or so).
Leeds headliners in recent years have been Charlatans, Oasis, Travis, Strokes, Linkin Park, Darkness, Pixies, Franz Ferdinand. Hardly metal now is it??
Before Leeds joined with Reading as a dual-site, it was paired as a V Festival site, which is even more indie than it is today.
I suspect that you’re quoting Reading festival origins, not Leeds, or if you are quoting Leeds sites they’re factually wrong.

Main Stage either Red Hot Chili’s, Metallica, AC/DC, Smashing Pumpkins or Oasis. so pick you’re best 3. i REALLY hope the chili’s do though! someone who hasnt headlined in the last 3 years hopefully!
interpol or tool maybe
who i hope for is bloc party! but doubt they’ll headline seeing as they’ve only brought out 2 albums. but i guess if they’re going to pull a my chemical romance and download that may happen!
and they best not be on the nme stage like the bloody kooks were, so you cant ou, and klaxons!
im not too fussed, i’ll be going who ever plays im sure they’ll be quite a few decent bands. the campings the best part!

cause they are the best band to have played on this earth and always will be i love these guys they are so talented, love them, please please please hope there playing at leeds fest this year, it would make my weekend!
14 March 2007 | 10:12
Well as alot of you have said, RATM and Smashing Pumpkins are just about confirmed deifnates for headliners. be a bit dissapointed if razorlight are there though, by all mean let them be there but not headlining. Im really dissapointed with the fact that dream theater are playin download this year instead of leeds. Theyre my favourite band, and tbh they have more talent than most of the leeds line up combined. Best drummer on the planet, one of the best guitarists in the world, and the best bassist in the world. yet surprisingly alot of people havent heard of them. Ideally id have dream theater headlining along with RATM and the pumpkins, not a huge fan of them but still, dream theater own razorlight and basically most bands lol
14 March 2007 | 11:13

I would actually die if JME plays!
and sorry to put a downer on the fest but i reckon theres a good chance that little “ghetto” over commercialised lady soverign will be playing
14 March 2007 | 12:05
Well, going on the fact that NIN have a set of gigs rescheduled for around the time of Leeds weekend, I’d bank on them being on the bill somewhere.
All of these ‘new-ish’ indie bands should NOT be headlining. Razorlight? Don’t make me laugh…!
14 March 2007 | 13:04
The FRAY plz if there is a GOD
14 March 2007 | 17:46
Red Hot Chillis bore me… hope they dont headline!
Razorlight are just as crap. maybe even crappier.
As I said before, plenty of pop-punk/ ska and it will be great!!
FUUUUUUUNNNN!!
Fall Out Boy were so good last year, who was in the bottle fight??? haha
As were Be Your Own PET.
& i’d recommend watching +44, for one you get to see sexy Hoppus & they’re really good live!
No boring formulaic Indie bands please!
14 March 2007 | 18:41

14 March 2007 | 21:04
Muse are garanteed to headline, and I hope Kings of leon are playing, or even queens of the stoneage
14 March 2007 | 21:11
I know the headliners, so the people thinking muse will headline twice…
YOU’RE WRONG!!!!!!
The headliners are…
RAZORLIGHT
RED HOT CHILIS
THE SMASHING PUMPKINS!!!!
I know this because NME announce them every year, and have not been wrong yet.
I’m pretty sure there will be some other bands there. Likely to attend are
Fall Out Boy
The Frattellis
Lostprophets
Incubus
Alkaline Trio
14 March 2007 | 21:30
Yeah, Muse headlined last year. And, I agree, it seems quite certain those three are headlining this year. Although Razorlight seems a little odd choice to me, not really of headlining quality are they. Hey ho.
14 March 2007 | 21:50
I have reason to believe its NOT chilis and razorlight(thank god). I have rumours for manic street preachers, stereophonics, oasis, THE WHO, metallica and Beck.
Other bands rumoured that are quite likely; Modest Mouse (god i hope so) interpol, sigur ros, the shins, the fratellis, bright eyes, the killers (possibly a headliner but not certain). Please stop rumouring bands just because you like them. Im talking to you all you scenesters. you clearly dont know how festivals work. My chem wont be invited back after their poor reception last year. Arctic monkeys played to high up to come back and the idea of the three headliners all being the likes of metallica, tool, ac/dc etc. is rubbish. one of them maybe. but not all 3.
14 March 2007 | 21:54
Not sure if this means anything, but didn’t RHCP headline T In The Park last year?
14 March 2007 | 22:16
Ok, “the doctor”. I put money on it being those 3. i know razorlight is a poor choice. but chilis would be a pretty clear choice for mean fiddler. the killers have said they aren’t in an interview, but i would have thought they would have been a better choice than razorlight. the 3 headliners have always been recent, long running, and old school.
this lot fit that.
T in the park last year means very little. leeds fest has always followed a similar rule of thumb. either the band is a big scoop, fits the headliner rule, or has had a new album out in the past year ish before the fest. also they have bands who have been popular in the past year, hence kaisers in ‘06
14 March 2007 | 22:23
i’d absolutely cream if these wer the headliners:
Red Hot Chili Peppers
Rage Against The Machine
Oasis
Smashing Pumpkins and razorlight can go fuck themselves THEY’RE SHITE!
Saw Enter Shikari last friday they wer fuckin mint, hope they play
Fratellis, Klaxons, Kasabian, LITTLE MAN TATE, The View, Biffy Clyro and We Are Scientists PLEASE!!!!
14 March 2007 | 22:34
it would be great to see Sonic youth and dinosaur jr. Arcade fire and nine inch nails also.
14 March 2007 | 23:09
Rise Against self confirmed last year. I’d put my money on them playing again.
I’d like to see Bad religion, Alkaline Trio and NoFX playing again… I missed the trio and Nofx because I was feeling ill in my tent after having well over the recommended dose of herbal highs. They were shit and all.
Here’s to hoping!
14 March 2007 | 23:31
prophets, enter shikari, the gossip, the fray, klaxons, biffy, RATM, oasis, blur!
15 March 2007 | 0:20
why doesnt leeds get back to the metal side of the fuckin festival..
chillis?
razorshite?
smashing pumpkins?
SNORRRRREEEEEEEEE!!
this is such an awful bunch of headliners it just cant be true, fuckin hope the manics are there like!
15 March 2007 | 10:37
Actually last year nme said arcitc monkeys would be headlineing and they were just under muse, they usually get them right in terms of bands that play, but they r usually wrong in their headline guesses =]
15 March 2007 | 11:42
kings of leon, anyone out about them playing?
i proper hope they do!
15 March 2007 | 11:43
i meant heard anything about them playing?
15 March 2007 | 12:28
If All american reject play again, I will shoot them. I quite liked them, till I saw them live. the BASTARDS.
And Aquabats all the way! and Me First and the Gimme Gimme Gimme’s! that would pwn.
Doubt fish’ll be there again this year, or LTJ- Kings of leon were awesome (was it last year or the year before?) so I’d like to see them again.
We met the view last year! they were walking around handing out badges, telling us how they were gonna be the next big thing and we laughed in their face.
That was a smart move…
15 March 2007 | 15:31
FUNERAL FOR A FRIEND FOR THE WIN!!!! and enter shikari WOOOOOOOOO! lol penis fi
