All American headliners?
A recent interview with Melvin Benn on the BBC Entertainment website has revealed that we may be expecting three US acts as headliners for Leeds Festival 2008.
“Interesting this year is that - probably for the first time, in my memory - we’re actually going with three American headliners.”

metallica might be because there doin sum european fesivals in may and june but they said they have more european dates to announce. maybe linkin park are headlining again?

i reckon it will be KC and the sunshine band, abba, showaddy waddy (you know from aggadoo fame).
also a strong rumour from my friend that elvis and T Rex will make a small camio

It won’t be Linkin Park, because they’ve just played a few UK shows and they headlined Download last year. Also, bands like A7X, MCR, The Used, etc, aren’t nearly big enough to headline so that’s not gonna happen either.
I reckon it will be RATM, it doesn’t really matter that they’re playing two other festivals this year, the fact they’re playing TWO shows that the chances of them playing another are more likely. Foo Fighters is also likely, as they mentioned it at the Brit Awards. Green Day are also a big possibility, as they are working on a new album and what better place to test it than at the festival.
So my guesses are Rage, Foos and Green Day. And if not all 3 of these, The Killers. I highly doubt it will be Metallica.
Bearing in mind I was right last year about all the headliners, way before any bands were even rumoured. That’s right
