Leeds Festival 2008 - tickets, line up, rumours

Festival Republic, promoters of the Reading and Leeds Festival, are keen to alert all festival goers to an unofficial site on MySpace.

Leeds Festival 2007 won the Best Live Event award at the NME Awards 2008.

As announced on the official festival website:
After a nine year partnership Festival Republic announced that Carling will no longer be the headline sponsor or official lager of the Reading and Leeds festivals.
Following a successful long-term partnership, it was by mutual agreement that both parties felt the time was right to pursue new opportunities.

At this year’s Carling Weekend: Leeds Festival, the best unsigned bands from the Midlands, North of England and Scotland will get the chance to play to over 70,000 festival goers thanks to Topman.
