The Cribs to play Leeds Festival?
HMV in-store dates in both Leeds and Reading are booked – could a festival appearance be on the cards?
The Cribs have been confirmed for live appearances at the HMV store in Leeds City Centre on Sunday 30th August (12pm) and at the HMV Reading Oracle store on Monday 31st August.
The band will be playing live and signing copies of their new single ‘Cheat On Me’.
While this could be purely coincidental, it could mean that The Cribs will be making a ‘secret’ appearance at the Leeds Festival on the Saturday and Reading on the Sunday.
If anyone remembers sets by Kaiser Chiefs (appearing under the name Hooks For Hands in 2007) and The Pigeon Detectives (in 2008) then a guest appearance by The Cribs isn’t too far-fetched?
Kate Nash was playing a gig in Leeds last night so it could have been a comment from Ryan after that show maybe? So it could be an up to date statement for 2010.
Perhaps?
Someone on my blog left the following comment:
“ryan jarman self confirmed that the cribs are playing after the kate nash gig last night”
Don’t know if hes got confused with the gigs you are talking about though.
Band announcement:
“We are doing Reading and Leeds this year, but its not what it appears to be. We are doing instore shows / signings at HMV Reading and HMV Leeds to coincide with physical release of ‘Cheat On Me’”.
