Organisers announce all Leeds Festival tickets now sold out

Festival Republic, promoters of the Reading and Leeds Festival, have today confirmed that all weekend tickets have now been sold.

However, it’s not all doom & gloom for those still looking to buy a ticket!

Weekend tickets are still available as part of Coach packages from the majority of departure points around the UK.

You can purchase a Coach & Weekend Ticket package from See Tickets.

In addition, there are a small amount of day tickets still available priced at £70 per day.

Visit our Leeds Festival Tickets page for the full range of valid ticket links.

Melvin Benn, Managing Director of Festival Republic, said today, “This is the 7th year in succession that both events have sold out within 24 hours of going on sale and I am very very pleased of course. The stature of the events have grown and grown each year and this year’s line up only adds to that. However, I must express caution towards all those who will now try to get their hands on tickets in whatever way they can as they do need to be careful of dodgy sites. The only site I can recommend will be viagogo who will at least guarantee anything they sell.”

If you’ve not been lucky this year and still want to go to the festival, then Festival Republic’s recommendation is for festival fans to only use viagogo.

viagogo will have an official, physical presence at the Leeds Festival site for fans to collect their tickets.

And we’ve got a special coupon you can use online to get 5% off your festival ticket at viagogo.co.uk – VGG762.

So you could save yourself a fair few pounds by following the link above and using the voucher code at the checkout. But be quick! The 5% off coupon is only valid until 19th April 2009.

Did YOU get a ticket this year?

Was the online process better or worse than in previous years?
Ticketmaster’s servers seemed to cope far better in the tests I did to compare against See Tickets (which were ‘busy’ a lot). Did anyone else notice such improvements this year or was it all slow, slow, slow, slow…?

Any tips to getting your ticket?
