HMV to sell tickets from 7pm on 30th March
In a change to previous years, the local HMV stores will selling tickets from 7pm on Monday 30th.
In previous years HMV stores in the North of England have sold festival tickets when the stores opened the next morning – with queues forming in the middle of the night as people ensured they were first in line to buy tickets.
Not any more though.
In an announcement via the official website, festival organisers Festival Republic have revealed that HMV stores will be selling tickets for Leeds Festival 2009 on the night of the launch.
The HMV stores selling tickets for Leeds 2009 are Barnsley, Birstall, Harrogate, Hull, Leeds, Leeds White Rose, Manchester 90, Newcastle, Rotherham, Sheffield High, Wakefield and York.
All will be selling weekend tickets. The Leeds City Centre store will also be selling day tickets (the only store to do so).
My parents want to buy my ticket for me, as they get points on their card – can i use their card|

Good question but I’ve no idea. Sorry. Are you able to pop into HMV during the day tomorrow to ask them?
Two of my mates cannot afford to pay for the tickets tomorrow. Because of this they have asked me and one of my other mates to buy them a ticket when we get ours from HMV tomorrow and thye will re-frund us when they can. Because of the new anti-touting ticket voucher system at HMV, will i have to buy my second ticket under the name of my mate who cannot afford (inc’ photo I.D.), or can i buy them both under my name?
I only ask because if they cannot eventually afford to pay me back, i will have to look elsewhere to offload the ticket. Can the tciket be only used by person who puts his/her name on the voucher only use the ticket is my question?!!

You have to be 16 to buy ickets, I rang up last week as my mate who is 17 was worried under 18s might not be allowed.
Is it possible for me to use someone else’s card?
The official site suggests not, but I would recommend you take some down just in case.
Is any ID needed to buy the ticket voucher on monday?
I know photographic id is requiered when redeeming the vouch for a ticket in august, but not sure if i need it when i go down on monday?
Also, Whats the age limit on buying tix?
