Didn’t get a ticket? Then consider going by coach
If you’re still looking then why not book your travel at the same time? Booking a Coach & Ticket package is often a great idea.
Although the festival is not yet sold out — tickets go on sale at HMV stores from 8am on 1st April 2008 and you can still pop in to Jumbo or Crash Records in Leeds — you may be getting frustrated at the ’sold out’ signs going up already at online sites such as See Tickets and Ticketmaster.
If you’re still looking then why not book your travel at the same time? Booking a Coach & Ticket package is often a great idea.
If you’ve bought a Weekend Ticket, then you’ll now have to work out how you’re going to get out to Bramham Park. You may need to get a train or bus to Leeds and then carry your gear to the shuttle busses (which you also have to pay for) or you may decide to take your car, pay the petrol and factor in the hassle of driving (and not drinking!) and the lengthy congestion on the A64 over the festival weekend.
That’s when a Coach & Ticket package could save your day - and tickets still widely available!
Coaches will arrive at the festival on Thursday 21st August and will depart from the festival on Monday 25th August.
- You can order your Coach & Ticket package now at See Tickets
The list of towns you can travel from include: BARNSLEY, BIRKENHEAD, BIRMINGHAM, BLACKBURN, BURNLEY, CARLISLE, CHESTER, DARLINGTON, DERBY, DONCASTER, DURHAM, EDINBURGH, GLASGOW, HARTLEPOOL, HUDDERSFIELD, HULL, LANCASTER, LEICESTER, LINCOLN, LIVERPOOL, LONDON, MANCHESTER, MIDDLESBROUGH, NEWCASTLE, NOTTINGHAM, PRESTON, SHEFFIELD, STOCKPORT, STOCKTON, STOKE, SUNDERLAND, WARRINGTON, and WIGAN.

The tickets aren’t sold out, they never are for a few days. I went on the website this morning and bought ordinary weekend camping tickets without any problems. But coach tickets are a good idea, save you loads of hassle. But remember that you HAVE to get the coach on Thursday or you don’t get your ticket!

ive just bought coach tickets from doncaster. how do i find out where to catch it from? will it be on the ticket? that would make sense.
1 April 2008 | 15:45
hey. i just got a coach ticket but it said that the tickets would be sent to my house. i thought you got them on the bus? also, how do you know where the bus is leaving from and what time? x
1 April 2008 | 16:24
I would presume the ‘ticket’ sent to your house is your coach ticket. The T&C suggest you get your festival ticket once you are on the coach. I would guess that the timetable, pick up and drop off point(s) will be included in the stuff sent to your house/email address. If anyone has done this in the past, please add comments of your experiences. Thanks.

does anyone know any rumours about the second batch of tickets yet?
1 April 2008 | 17:33
The Coach tickets for Preston have sold out!!! will there be any more on sale??? help!!!!!!
1 April 2008 | 20:17
@ Ryan - I’ve never kept a close eye on Coach ticket sales in the past, but I would suspect that once they’re sold that’s it. I don’t ever recall them announcing additional coach tickets being made available, but you might get lucky!
2 April 2008 | 23:40
Do you think we will need ID to be able to collect our actual leeds ticket on the coach? It’d probably make sense because some one could just claim to be you couldnt they x

where did ~anonymous 1 April 2008 | 10:46~ manage to get the tickets from hassel free the next day, because I tried and everywhere said sold out!??!
I can remember for next year!!!

Sales were still going through all the major ticket sites up to around 2 days later (I can see some sale statistics, date & time). The next morning things will have quietened off sufficiently I guess to buy some without much hassle. As I posted on here in another topic, you just need to keep trying because tickets don’t sell out for around 48 hours and there’s always some to be had.
