Futuresound 2007 revealed - want to play the Carling Stage!?
The Futuresound Competition 2007 is now in full swing. The unsigned event is now in its seventh year. It was a success last year with the likes of Breaking the Illusion, Dead Disco and the Hair snapping up the top prizes and organisers are hoping that this year will be even better.
The competition will take place on 10 dates over the course of July featuring a three band line-up. Each gig will be judged by two judges and an audience vote.
For the second consecutive year the overall winner of the competition will play on the Carling Stage at the Leeds Festival. The five runners will also gain a place on the festival line-up. The second and third prizes are as yet to be confirmed but in the past have included £750 worth of musical equipment and two dates all expenses paid recording in a top studio. These prizes will be confirmed very soon.
Futuresound 2007 are now accepting demos which need to be sent alongside an application form, band photo and short biog. Application forms can be uploaded from this link - Entry Form 2007
