Tickets to go on sale…
Leeds Festival organisers Mean Fiddler have today revealed that tickets for the Carling Weekend: Leeds 2007 will go on sale on the evening of Monday, March 26th. There isn’t any pricing information to go with the announcement, as this is usually revealed on the night.
Expect tickets to go on sale shortly after 7pm when it is usual for BBC Radio One to reveal the line up live on air.
When we have more news, we’ll update our Leeds festival tickets page.
Or, if you cannot wait, just view and bookmark the following page at See Tickets or this one at Ticketmaster and keep checking back for more updates.

Are that going to announce the bands on the same date? cause thats dus not leave us a lot of time
4 March 2007 | 9:14
They usually do that yes, unless someone like NME leaks the line up first. BBC Radio One usually announces the line up and ticket prices at 7pm, and then the tickets usually go on sale straight after that.
Expect festival news sites like this to also reveal the line up around 7pm.

Tickets were £135 for the weekend last year. So expect that plus a little bit more, for this year.
5 March 2007 | 13:44
when will the phone number to call be announced?
5 March 2007 | 13:55
Everything gets announced at the same time. However, assuming that the number’s won’t change from last year it’s probably just See Tickets phone line, Ticketmaster’s too (I think they are an official outlet this year, not sure) and Mean Fiddler’s ticketline number. It’s a case of just visiting those sites and lifting the number off them, which I’ll do later on today and post here (considering, of course, they may get dedicated numbers when the announcement is actually made - so I won’t guarantee they’re right !! )

when do think the tickets will sell out because i get paid at the end of the month and i want to get them as soon as i can?
5 March 2007 | 19:08
They go very quickly. Last year, the weekend tickets sold out within the first week.
Although, every year since its inception additional tickets have been made available during the summer. They release the tickets in phases. It creates a little buzz, and makes people go out and buy rather than sit thinking about it.
Last year, HMV Leeds and HMV White Rose Centre still had tickets until quite late in the summer. As had Crash Records. So you don’t need to panic. Buy as soon as you can, if you know you want to go. That’s all the advice I can offer.
Day tickets take much longer to sell out, in fact, you can probably delay buying a day ticket until the last week or so in August before the event …. I’ve had success in buying day tickets ‘on the door’.
5 March 2007 | 20:21
well i get paid only five days later, and i want the weekend ticket so hopefully ill get there in time. If you want a day before ticket does it cost any more?
5 March 2007 | 20:27
A ‘day before ticket’? You mean an Early Entry ticket? They do sell tickets that allow you entry to the festival site on the Wednesday, yes. This used to cost a little extra, yes, I think it’s usually a tenner.

i am living abroad till the summer, so i cant make it to HMV in Leeds.. can u buy tickets over the net easily.. or is it easier to ring up???
6 March 2007 | 7:30
Yeah, buy them over the ‘net. See out “tickets” page in the menu bar above for links to ticket outlets. As the full set of online ticket outlets are revealed I’ll keep that page up to date, including with telephone numbers, etc, etc….

NME had a line up in one of the recent issues.
do u think that the NME line up is official?
6 March 2007 | 12:14

i jst cant wait for the line up to be announced tbh
6 March 2007 | 12:58
Kate - see our 2007 Rumours topic for line-up discussions (and the answer to your question).
6 March 2007 | 15:13
eh? is this true? its not on any of the official pages.
6 March 2007 | 17:23
The official festival site is *always* out of date, which is why you’re *always* best using some of the unofficial sites for information.
The information still comes from the festival’s official press agencies, but it just seems that Mean Fiddler aren’t as on-the-ball when it comes to keeping their site as up to date with the information issued by their press department.
For the record, the date of Monday, 26th March for line up announcement and availability of tickets was in Mean Fiddler’s most recent press release.
Obviously, it may change, as things do - however, this date is consistent with all previous years and I would not expect Mean Fiddler to revise the date. Based on previous experiences, had I been asked in advance when I thought the tickets would go on sale, I would have offered this date as my ‘most likely date’.
Does that help?
6 March 2007 | 21:32
Or I’d have said the 2nd April. One or the other. It’s always been the Monday evening of the announcement at the end of March / start of April.
Anyway, if I hear anything else from Mean Fiddler (or their press) I’ll post a new article up on the site. Sign up for the mailing list to hear straight away.

f.a.o Babs, and anyone else, last year the Mean Fiddler Ticket Hotline was 0870 060 3777. When more information on buying tickets for Leeds 2007 is revealed I will update our main tickets page.

Does any one know if hmv are going to be selling the tickets again this year to?
newcastle hmv in particler
8 March 2007 | 18:22
I reckon HMV will be selling them, yes.
8 March 2007 | 18:45
how do you find otu if they are will there be news on websites say they sell them or is it all just by chance?
8 March 2007 | 18:48
The official announcements usually tell you where you can buy online and the phone numbers. As far as shops, then Crash Records and Jumbo in Leeds sell them, as do a number of HMV stores across the North of England.
As far as individual HMV shops you will need to go in and ask if they are selling tickets, and if not where is the closest HMV store that is.
